ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Ashley D'Amico, LLPC, therapist, artist, mom, wife, sister, businesswoman… You get the idea!
We all have many roles in this life.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent over 20 years as a hairstylist and salon owner. While my profession has changed, the heart of my work has remained the same: helping people better understand themselves and align who they are on the inside with how they show up in the world.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of hearing people's stories, witnessing life's challenges and transitions, and helping others navigate growth, change, and self-discovery. Today, I bring that same curiosity and connection into the therapy room.

As a therapist, I help people understand themselves more deeply, make sense of the patterns that shape their lives, and move toward a life that feels more intentional, authentic, and aligned with their values.

I have a directive, highly engaged approach to therapy and believe that accessible information can be life-changing. Psychoeducation is a cornerstone of my work because I believe knowledge is empowering. When we understand why we think, feel, and respond the way we do, we gain more choice in how we move through the world.

I love helping clients connect the dots.

Together, we might explore nervous system responses, attachment patterns, family dynamics, parts work, relationship patterns, values, identity, or the impact of past experiences. I frequently incorporate assessments, not as labels, but as tools for self-discovery and deeper understanding.

I am especially drawn to Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work and the idea that every part of us serves a purpose. Even the parts that frustrate us are often trying to help in the best way they know how.

My work also embraces the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I am fascinated by life transitions, personal growth, women's development across the lifespan, and the evolving roles we inhabit throughout our lives.

I believe…

…healing is less about fixing ourselves and more about understanding ourselves and in that understanding, we create natural shifts to present the core of who we truly are.

…in questioning inherited narratives, creating meaningful rituals, and finding new ways of living that are aligned with who we truly are; not simply who we've been told to be or parts that were developed to survive.

Most of all, I believe it's never too late.

Never too late to change.
Never too late to heal.
Never too late to reconnect with yourself.
Never too late to become who you've been all along AND

You never have to do it alone!

LET’S CONNECT.
